Visit our new, beautiful café in the heart of Old Stavanger. Here you can enjoy a delicious meal, a cup of coffee or other beverages in historical surroundings with modern facilities.

Book launch: Iddisane by John Gunnar Johnsen
In his new book Iddisane, John Gunnar Johnsen tells the story of the industry that created thousands of different canning label motifs, and about the culture that preserved this diversity. The launch includes a lecture by the author. The presentation is in Norwegian.

22 JUNE, 12 noon
Smoking
After a long break, we finally rekindle the wood ovens at the Norwegian Canning Museum. You can sample newly-smoked delicacies straight from the oven!

The Food Festival ‘Gladmat’
IDDIS Café & Brasserie celebrates Norway’s largest food festival, offering a unique menu during the six-day period. The café is also an obvious stop on one of the Gladmatløyper (foodie tours)! Book tickets through GuideCompaniet.no.

6 JULY, 12 noon
Lunch with Serifs and Sprats
Enjoy a delicious lunch in our café before joining the guided tour with Britta Goldberg, director of our Department of Building and Collection Management. Goldberg tells about processes relating to building something new in Old Stavanger at the same time as renovating the old canning factory that houses the exhibitions of the Norwegian Canning Museum. The tour starts at 1 pm.

9 and 23 JULY, 11

Bubbles & Brunch
Delectable small dishes enjoyed with a few glasses of something bubbly.

Sprats and Beer in the Same Boat
An exciting selection of delicious small dishes served with just the right beer.

Try out our lunch menu while you hear members of the Friends of the Norwegian Printing Museum talk about their activities and involvement with printing.

A Proper Sunday Dinner
We offer a variety of traditional Sunday dinners replete with desert. Every Sunday, 1–5 pm. You can also order dinner as a take-out.
